Not everyone is an advanced car mechanic and sometimes the only thing a person might know how to do for car upkeep is replacing the windshield wiper fluid. Another task might be detailing a car which can actually be done incorrectly if the car polisher is left on the surface of the vehicle without being polished off. A polished car surface is such that the paint will appear smooth and clear but it's important to make sure that if an electric polisher is used that only very delicate pressure is used when the car polish is being buffed out.
