There has been a significant amount of national press regarding how death penalty cases are handled around the country and some states have started to convert sentences that had the death penalty attached to sentences of life in prison. It takes a fairly violent and significant crime for Bucks County criminal attorneys to have to consider the prospect of such a harsh sentence and dealing with that type of a case is something that is only applied in cases where a defendant has been charged with first degree murder and if that person is found guilty only the governor can set an execution date.
